Web site revisions

Many pages on this site are freshly updated. You'll find downloads for all current books.

Keep Up with AcroFacts

acrofacts logoFor ongoing Acrobat and PDF info, observations, tips, and tricks, be sure to check out AcroFacts. Look for new blog posts every couple of days.

Looking for Downloads?

Downloads are available by book on the Downloads page. Click the book's name in the table at the top to jump to the list of available download files.

If you don't see a book listed, there aren't any available files for download.

AcrobatUsers.com

For the Acrobat-types reading this note, you'll know that Adobe offers a terrific resource site for all-things Acrobat, AcrobatUsers.com. I have contributed a monthly column to the site since its inception.

In addition, it is my privilege to be included among the esteemed group that are tasked with answering the questions to the site's "Ask the Expert" section.

New From baker communications: Online Courses

I am pleased to be facilitating courses again through Education To Go. Currently, I have two courses running - ed2go logoIntroduction to InDesign CS3 has entered its second year, and Introduction to Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro started in December, 2009.

An update for the InDesign course is in the works, and should be offered later this year.

New From baker communications: Online Video Training

For those looking to start out their adventures in InDesign, check out my new video from DesignProVideo.com, a division of MacProVideo.com.

For your edification and enjoyment, you can purchase four hours of my dulcet tones explaining the what's and how's of making your way around InDesign CS4. The video was such an interesting experience, and I anticipate more video in my future.

Be sure to check out the page. You'll find links to some samples, and more information on the course.

New Titles Now on a Bookshelf near You!

I've had this heading since the site began way back when, but there aren't any new book titles to include! In the last year, I've focused on my blog, as well as pursuing video and online training. The closest I've come to a new title is serving as a tech editor for a title. Interesting experience.

The Archives are Here

To let you get directly to the latest and greatest information on my newest books, I now have an archive to hold the pages and content built to support earlier books. Rather than web pages, each book's information is available in a single PDF file; download files are listed on the Books and Downloads pages.

Adieu to the Princess

It is with considerable sadness that I bid farewell to the Princess. For those who don't know, I wrote articles for WindoWatch magazine from 1998 until the ezine ceased operations in May, 2006. I adopted the persona of the Fairy Software Princess and used 'her' words for nearly all of those years. I have left an overview PDF file of those years in the Archives.

I am forever in the debt of the spunky woman who spearheaded the magazine and served as my mentor during my formative years as an author. Thanks, Lois.
