Highlights

There's no end to the kinds of work you can do with your images in Photoshop Elements 4.

In the book you'll learn about:

Time-saving techniques and practical guidance to repair flaws and problems in images, such as removing stray telephone lines in the left image, or brightening the view as in the right image.

Adding text and customizing its appearance to help tell your image's story.

Two examples of using text effectively with images. One shows text over a swirled image of a road; one shows text flowing from behind a motorcycle

Turning any image or part of an image into a brush or a stamp you can apply in different ways. Save and reuse the custom brush or stamp as you never know when you'll need a tiled eyeball!

Setting up photo albums or slideshows with effects, using RAW images, or composing a panorama from a number of images like the scene below.

the upper part of the image shows three separate elements of a scene of fishing boats in a tropical location with mountains in the background; the lower image shows the three components stitched together into a panoramic image before trimming

Tips and hacks for applying multiple transformations or even changing the geometry of an image by using lighting, as in the left image, or making a 3D shape from a flat image as in the right example.

The left image shows lighting and transforming a twig and leaves from a flat object to a curved object; the right image shows the effect of adding a 3D filter to a flat image of a furry purple and yellow caterpillar
